A social licence to operate
Since listing in 2007, the Group has worked with all stakeholders to ensure it maintains a social licence to operate. Furthermore, since 2015 the Group has published stand alone Responsible Business Reports on its Environment, Social and Governance ("ESG") activities. These reports are published in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative, representing best practice in the mining industry.
Ferrexpo's Responsible Business Reports are published annually and cover the full range of the Group's ESG activities - from social topics such as healthy and safety, workforce development and supporting local communities, to environmental topics such as climate change and sustainable water use, through to governance and sustainable supply chains.
Through its Responsible Business Reports, the Group has been been recognised for its work with stakeholders through its inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index, and ESG-related assessments by MSCI and Sustainalytics.
