Through disciplined cost control, the Group is able to maintain its competitiveness on the global stage, delivering value creation for all stakeholders.
The Group continues to maintain a position in the lower half of the global cost curve of iron ore producers, as assessed by independent consultants CRU. The global cost curve for pellet producers, as shown below for 2021, accounts for the cost of production, the grade of material being produced, as well as any premiums received from iron ore producers - such as the pellet premium.
